
After my NYC weekend I board the Amtrak train to Boston. A relaxing 4 hour trip with some lovely views along the way. Trains are a nice way to travel. I manage to navigate the Boston public transport system and make it to Central station in CambridgeMA, where my AirBNB and home for the next 9 days is located. It is mid 20’s temperature but humid and my fricken luggage man. Cobblestone streets and pretty but really annoying with 25 kgs of luggage.

The homes in this area of town are pristine. I feel like I may be on the set of a historic film or in a town like that the book ‘Little Fires Everywhere’ is set in where people are fined if their lawns are too long. A bit Pleasantville. I get to my accommodation sweaty and flustered. Luckily there are 7 or so signs reminding me to take my shoes off so I don’t forget in my heightened state.

The place I am staying is a lovely old home. Basically a boarding house. It has so many passive aggressive signs in every space reminding me how to to live like a human with basic grooming skills that I want to have a wild party and smear things on the walls. I haven’t so far.
