Return to travel

You forget. you think You don’t but you do. Just how travel really is. We expect delays, we expect no sleep, but I forgot just how stressful it is wondering if luggage will arrive, where on earth the elusive ‘Terminal 3’ is, and why it is also so hot when you have to lug your ridiculously heavy luggage from T1 to T3.

I hadn’t forgotten just how bad by sense of direction is, but it still surprises me just how wrong I can get it. Or just how bad Google maps is as I choose to see it.

First truly quotable quote of the trip ‘Oh man! You’re on the wrong bus. Going in the wrong direction. You’re on the wrong bus…’ Destined to join our vernacular – kindly delivered, I wasn’t defeated yet. Found a train instead, found my destination, a boathouse cafe in Golden Gate Park hoping for lunch.

Closed early. Bottle of Stella Artois and packet of Lays chips it is.

Travel huh.
