So something fun. Elissa, another Churchill Fellow who is undertaking this adventure at the same time as me with remarkably similar itinerary, booked us tickets to see Florence + the Machine this week. Was so great.
She IS a machine. Elissa joked that King Charles III should play ‘King’ at his coronation. There’s been worse ideas. Some clips below for you to enjoy.
I’ve had the opportunity to experience Florence 3 x now (and I’m going again when she’s in Sydney this summer!). One particularly memorable show – a beautiful outdoor venue at deer lake park in Vancouver – she called for people to “get on the shoulders of a stranger”. It was certainly a quirky way to break the ice and we were all dancing and laughing together by the end. Love her! Enjoying following your Churchill adventure (and everything in between).
